Emotional Freedom Techniques also known as EFT or Tapping uses the same meridians that have been used in traditional acupuncture to treat emotional and physical ailments for over 5,000 years and is a powerful healing technique that makes full use of the mind-body connection with out the needles.

 

Emotional health is essential to physical health and healing, negative emotions, trauma and experiences cause disruption in our energy system and if not released can cause stress, anxiety, depression, pain and illness. 

EFT is an easy self help tool that enables us to quickly change our emotional state, thought patterns and stress responses and brings balance back to our energy system and emotions. Fingertips are used to stimulate specific acupuncture meridians located on the face, head, hands, and upper torso. While tapping you voice the negative emotions you are feeling about your problem and once cleared you then switch to positive affirmations.

Benefits

EFT can be used to release a wide range of issues such as stress, anxiety, pain, negative thoughts patterns, limiting beliefs, and upsetting memories.

 

 

The combination of tapping on the energy meridians while voicing how you are feeling works to clear the emotional block from your bodys energy system. This will help to restore your body’s healing ability which is essential for optimal health and wellbeing. As the human body is a mass of electrical circuits, Tapping is like repairing a short-circuit in your body.

Research has also proven that when we tap on these meridian points while focusing on the stress, the challenge or problem we send a calming signal to the amygdala. The amygdala is the part of the brain which is linked to our fight or flight response centre, the part that is linked to stress and it is also the part of the brain that encodes all our negative thoughts, emotions and experiences.

Tapping is simple and easy to learn, you can apply it to yourself daily,  giving you the power to heal yourself, putting control over your destiny back into your own hands.

The human body is a network of electrical circuits that run along a specific network of channels which are referred to as energy meridians.

Emotional Freedom Techniques Sessions

As a certified EFT practitioner, my role is to guide you through the EFT procedure to enable you to:

accept your negative emotions, problems or issues and work through them to let them go.

The memory of the problem or issue will still be there however the emotions attached will be released.

Once removed we can then move on to tapping on positives such emotions, ideas, inspirations, and affirmations.

 

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation will be a free 15/20 minute chat over the phone which will assess whether EFT is the right treatment for you, what issues you would like to overcome, explain how EFT works and how it may help and answer any question you may have.

Depending how deeply rooted the issue is and what else may need to be addressed. I would usually advise at least three to four sessions.

Our power is in the present in the Now moment, yet so many of us have trained ourselves to live in the past or in the future. When we feel stressed, overwhelmed, or fearful over something or someone, it is an indicator that we have temporarily lost sight of the present moment. Being mindful and incorporating a daily mindfulness meditation practice is a great way to de-stress however sometimes we are so overwhelmed with our thoughts and emotions, entrenched in dwelling in the past or worrying about the future, it can be quite challenging to practice living fully in the present and focussing on our breathe can seem impossible.

 

EFT can be integrated with meditation, both techniques use the doorway of the present moment to restore the body and mind to optimal functioning, enabling us to accept ‘what is’, letting go of the need to control both internal experiences and external environments.
